Pacific Beach, CA (January 19, 2026) – A 6-year-old boy was killed on Saturday, January 17, in a hit-and-run crash on Pacific Beach Drive near Ingraham Street.
Authorities reported that the child, identified as Hudson Stephen O’Loughlin, was riding his bike with his parents when the accident occurred. Hudson attempted to cross an alley while riding, and he was struck by a vehicle traveling through the alley.
The driver briefly stopped but then ran over the bicyclist and fled the scene. Emergency units arrived shortly after and found Hudson with severe injuries. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Authorities later identified a 32-year-old woman as the suspect. Her vehicle was located in National City, and she was taken into custody. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances of the crash.
