Long Beach, CA – Car Crash Claims the Life of Teenager on Long Beach Blvd near Wardlow Rd

Long Beach, CA (December 26, 2025) – A tragic car crash in Long Beach earlier this week claimed the life of a 16-year-old passenger, according to police. The collision occurred around 8:20 p.m. on December 23 near the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and Wardlow Road.

Officers with the Long Beach Police Department responded to the scene and found two teenagers inside a 2007 Saturn Aura. A 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old male driver both suffered critical injuries. Paramedics rushed them to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. Police later confirmed that the teenage girl died from her injuries on Christmas Eve.

The crash also involved a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. Authorities stated that the driver of the Jeep did not suffer injuries and remained at the scene. That driver cooperated fully with investigators.

Police have not released the identity of the victim due to her age. The investigation remains ongoing.
