San Diego, CA (August 25, 2025) – Officers with the San Diego Police Department are investigating a deadly collision involving a pedestrian that took place in the City Heights area on Sunday night, August 24.
Officials said the collision happened at around 8:15 p.m. when a pedestrian was hit by a driver in the 4500 block of Home Avenue. A SIG alert was also issued in the area, where Home Avenue was reported closed Sunday night. The road was back open by Monday morning. No description of the suspect driver or the vehicle involved in the collision was immediately released, but an investigation is ongoing.
