Los Angeles, CA (August 14, 2025) – A person was struck by a vehicle on the 210 Freeway near Monrovia on Thursday morning, August 14, closing several lanes of traffic for more than an hour.
The person had exited their vehicle and was on the eastbound freeway east of Myrtle Avenue when they were struck by another vehicle at about 9:50 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said. The victim had been taken to a nearby hospital, and CHP is investigating the incident as a major injury traffic collision. A SigAlert was issued for the HOV and No. 1 lanes, though they were reopened shortly after 11:00 a.m. Meanwhile, an investigation is still ongoing.
