San Diego, CA (July 1, 2025) – At least one person died in a crash that involved a motorcycle and several vehicles on I-805 in Chula Vista on Monday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol’s incident log, the crash happened shortly after 8:00 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway near Telegraph Canyon Road.
The crash and investigation resulted in the overnight closure of at least three southbound lanes. The lanes were cleared and reopened to traffic around 12:20 p.m. on Tuesday, nearly 16 hours after the incident. However, the CHP’s investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash remains ongoing.
