San Diego, CA (March 21, 2025) – According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a multi-vehicle crash happened Friday morning on southbound Highway 163 at the Balboa Avenue off-ramp in the Kearny Mesa area of San Diego.
Three vehicles were involved in the suspected DUI collision reported at 7:45 a.m. to the CHP. Paramedics transported at least one person to Sharp Memorial Medical Center in unknown condition, and officers originally reported a fatality at the site. However, an investigation is still ongoing, and anyone with information for police can contact CHP in the meantime. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased individual.
