San Ysidro, CA (December 1, 2025) – An 83-year-old pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries on Saturday, November 29, after a Jeep struck him while he crossed East San Ysidro Boulevard, police said.
The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 200 block of the boulevard. Officers said a 71-year-old man drove a 2011 Jeep Liberty westbound after exiting the freeway and hit the pedestrian.
Medics found the victim with a pelvic fracture and a brain bleed, then rushed him to a hospital for emergency care. Investigators continue to review the incident.
