San Diego, CA (August 11, 2025) – Port of San Diego Harbor Police asked the public for help on Saturday, August 9, identifying the driver and vehicle responsible for striking a female pedestrian and leaving her to die in the street.
The crash occurred about 11:30 p.m. Friday in the 4400 block of North Harbor Drive, near Laning Road, according to Harbor Police. First arriving officers began life-saving measures, but the woman died at the scene, police said. Her name has not yet been released.
The vehicle involved in the crash may have front-end damage, police said. Anyone who witnessed the crash or may have dashcam footage, surveillance video, or information was asked to call the Traffic Investigation Unit. We extend our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased victim.
