San Diego, CA (April 2, 2024) – The California Highway Patrol reports that on Tuesday morning, a car struck a pedestrian on Interstate 5 close to East Village, killing the pedestrian.
The accident was reported at about 5:00 a.m. on the southbound side of the roadway, close to the Imperial Avenue exit. According to CHP data, the pedestrian was seen sprinting against traffic on the right side of the road. No more information on the incident was immediately available, but officers asked witnesses to come forward.
