Riverside, CA – Update: Infant Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-215 Near Eucalyptus Ave

Important updates have been provided and confirmed following Sunday’s fatal collision on Interstate 215. It has now been confirmed that a 3-month-old baby died and several others were hurt in this multi-car crash that took place on March 29 in Riverside. The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. on Interstate 215 just south of the Eucalyptus Avenue exit.

In addition, the total number of vehicles has now been informed. Authorities said traffic slowed when a Honda Civic stopped and a Nissan Versa hit it from behind. A Toyota RAV4 then struck the Nissan, causing severe damage to the vehicle carrying two adults and two children.

Emergency crews worked to remove those trapped inside the Nissan. The infant was pronounced dead at the scene, while a toddler and several adults were taken to local hospitals with injuries ranging from minor to serious. 

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
