Los Angeles, CA (October 4, 2023) – On Wednesday, a wanted suspect slammed into another vehicle in the Florence-Firestone district of South Los Angeles, injuring seven people, authorities said.
The Los Angeles Fire Department reports that the three-car accident happened about 1:00 p.m. in the 200 block of West 81st Street, which is east of the 110 Freeway. The LAPD said that authorities were searching for the suspect before the incident but had not begun a pursuit.
The seven victims were sent to local hospitals for further care. The Fire Department added that among the hospitalized patients were three young girls, two women aged 24 and 36, and two men aged 28 and 40.
Two men and a woman in her thirties were listed as being in critical condition by the agency, while the woman in her twenties and three children were listed as being in good condition. The patients’ identities and conditions were not immediately disclosed.
An investigation remains active in the meantime.
