Los Angeles, CA (November 8, 2023) – On Wednesday morning, a pedestrian was killed in the Echo Park neighborhood, prompting the closure of several lanes of the southbound 101 Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol’s traffic record, the fatal collision was reported at around 5:40 a.m. near the Glendale Boulevard exit. Cars were reportedly backed up for miles because only the far left lane was available.
By 8:00 a.m., all traffic lanes had been cleared, but an investigation is still ongoing at this time.
