Lake Mathews, CA (January 9, 2026) – A head-on crash left one motorist injured on Thursday, January 8, near the community of Lake Mathews, according to officials. The collision happened just after 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of Harley John Road and Cajalco Road.
Two vehicles collided at the intersection at unconfirmed speeds. Both vehicles suffered moderate damage as a result of the impact. Emergency crews arrived within minutes and began assisting those involved.
