Colton, CA (May 2, 2025) – A 19-year-old pedestrian died when he was hit by a car in Colton on Friday morning, May 2, the Colton Police Department said.
The man’s name had not been publicly announced as of Friday afternoon. The collision happened around 6:50 a.m. in the 17000 block of Washington Street, said Sgt. Mike Sandoval, a Police Department spokesman.
Investigators were trying to determine the circumstances of the crash and whether any crime had been committed, Sandoval said. The sergeant said the driver stopped after the crash.
