Two Good Samaritans Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-15 in San Diego Co., CA

San Diego County, CA (June 12, 2026) – Two bystanders were killed early Thursday morning, June 11, after stopping to help at a crash on northbound Interstate 15 near SR-76. The collision happened around 4:10 a.m. when a Honda CRV rear-ended a Toyota Sienna, which caused it to stall in the lanes.

Two good Samaritans pulled over to assist. A third vehicle then struck the CRV, and the force of that impact pushed into both bystanders, killing them. The drivers of all other vehicles involved were hurt but sustained only minor injuries.

The investigation remains active.

We extend our sincerest condolences to the families of both victims.
