What Compensation Can Families Recover After a Fatal Car Accident in Diamond Bar?
When a loved one dies in a car accident, California law allow surviving family members to seek compensation through a wrongful death claim. Damages can include funeral costs, medical bills, lost financial support, and loss of companionship.
In California, families generally have two years from the date of death to file a wrongful death claim. Missing that deadline can prevent the family from seeking compensation. Insurance companies may also dispute fault, undervalue the claim, or offer a settlement before the family understands the full financial impact of the loss.
Our wrongful death lawyers at Leiva Law Firm help families across California understand their legal options after fatal crashes. We can handle insurance communication, gather records, and build the claim while your family focuses on grieving.
