Apple Valley, CA – Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on SR-18 at Bear Valley Rd

Apple Valley, CA (April 21, 2026) – A deadly two-vehicle crash occurred Monday, April 20, around 6:21 p.m. at State Route 18 and Bear Valley Road in Apple Valley. The collision involved a blue Nissan pickup truck and a black Chevy sedan.

Emergency units arrived and found severe damage to both vehicles. Paramedics transported the driver of the sedan to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The victim later died from those injuries. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity.

Crews closed eastbound SR-18 for about two hours before towing both vehicles and reopening the road. 

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
