San Marcos, CA (August 18, 2025) – A person was seriously injured in a vehicle crash in San Marcos on Monday, August 18.
Authorities responded at around 2:20 a.m. Monday, a crash occurred along eastbound State Route 78 near Twin Oaks Valley Road onto East Carmel Street.
One person was trapped inside a vehicle for at least 20 minutes before being rescued by fire officials. EMTs responded and assessed the victims for injuries; one person was taken to Palomar Medical Center but was expected to survive, the report said. No further details were released, however, and an investigation is ongoing in the interim.
