San Diego, CA (July 10, 2025) – A crash near the community of Ramona on Wednesday evening left one driver dead and another five people with injuries requiring hospitalization.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 5:50 p.m. near the intersection of State Route 67 and Brantner Lane, just west of Mussey Grade Road. The agency said a Lexus sedan was heading southbound on State Route 67 when it was involved in a crash with a Ford SUV.
The 35-year-old male driver of the Lexus died at the site, while five people in the SUV were taken to two hospitals with moderate and minor injuries. The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident, and no further details about potential causes or charges have been released, however.
