San Diego, CA (June 20, 2025) – A woman has died after she was involved in a crash, causing her vehicle to fall into the San Diego Bay on Friday afternoon, June 20, in Coronado.
Coronado Police Lieutenant Anthony Flores said it happened at about 4:15 p.m. in front of the Loews Coronado Bay Resort on Coronado Bay Road. Flores says the vehicle, a Ford Mustang, went into the water and was fully submerged by the time officers arrived. The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident, and no further details about potential causes or charges have been released, however.
