Sun Valley, CA (December 17, 2023) – Authorities in Sun Valley say a deadly hit-and-run collision occurred on Saturday, December 16.
The incident took place on Strathern Street, to the east of Craner Avenue, just after 11:00 p.m. A Cadillac Escalade driver allegedly lost control, slammed into a parked vehicle, spun out, and hit a 15-year-old boy. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene. A 22-year-old North Hills man was later identified as the driver of the Cadillac and was detained. Authorities are still investigating, however, and witnesses were asked to contact Detective Otrosina of the Valley Traffic Division with additional information.
