What Happens During a Fatal Bus Crash Investigation in Los Angeles, CA?
Investigators typically review surveillance footage, driver logs, and the police report to determine what led to a fatal bus crash. This process can take time, especially when a public transit agency is involved.
When a transit authority’s vehicle causes a death, families face a 6-month filing window under California law, since claims against government agencies often require early notice. A wrongful death lawyer can help families understand these deadlines and gather the evidence needed before it’s lost.
Claims that involve a government transit agency can involve unique rules, and our team at Leiva Law Firm can help explain them to you. You can call Leiva Law Firm at (818) 519-4465 to learn more.
