Orange, CA (April 23, 2024) – On Tuesday morning on the I-55 Freeway in Orange, a two-vehicle collision resulted in the fatality of one individual and the closure of multiple lanes traveling southbound.
Shortly before 5:30 a.m., the collision was reported near the Chapman Avenue exit, according to a California Highway Patrol log. Due to the closure of lanes at the location, there was a mile-long traffic backlog on the 55 Freeway in the southbound direction. However, the cause of the collision remains unknown, and no further details have been released in the interim.
