Los Angeles, CA (January 6, 2024) – A large pileup involving up to forty vehicles occurred Saturday, just north of Los Angeles on Interstate 5, resulting in two fatalities and nine injuries, according to officials.
Caltrans reports that the fatal crash happened on the southbound side of Interstate 5. Per CHP spokesman Tami Grimes, investigators were trying to piece together what happened and establish an official cause of the wreck, which occurred near Millux Road. Two deaths were verified by Grimes, and nine other individuals were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. An inquiry into the wreck remains ongoing in the meantime.
