Los Angeles, CA (November 7, 2025) – A deadly crash early Thursday morning, November 6, claimed the life of a man after a food truck and a passenger vehicle collided on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway near Jefferson Park.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 2:15 a.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway, just south of Crenshaw Boulevard. Investigators said the food truck struck a smaller vehicle, which became trapped beneath it. Moments later, both vehicles burst into flames.
Los Angeles Fire Department crews quickly arrived and worked to extinguish the fire. A man about 40 years old died at the scene. Paramedics took a 32-year-old man from one of the vehicles to a nearby hospital in fair condition.
