Los Angeles, CA (September 28, 2023) – On Thursday afternoon, a fatal two-car accident occurred in the Carthay area of West Los Angeles, leaving one person dead and an older man injured.
The accident occurred at 1:35 p.m. in the 6000 block of West Pico Boulevard, near a senior center. The Los Angeles Police Department arrived shortly thereafter.
News footage of the crash’s aftermath shows a white Chevrolet pickup truck and a black Mercedes-Benz SUV, both with obvious indications of damage. Police say a pickup vehicle allegedly crashed into the foyer of the senior healthcare facility, and the program director verified that a female employee in her 60s and a 91-year-old male patient took the brunt of the impact.
The woman was later pronounced dead at the hospital, while the man was said to remain hospitalized in stable condition.
No arrests have been made as of yet, but the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
