How Do Wrongful Death Claims Work After a Fatal Crash in Blythe, CA?

When a loved one dies in a car accident, certain surviving family members may pursue a wrongful death claim under California law. Recoverable losses may include funeral expenses, medical bills, lost financial support, and loss of companionship.

Under California law, families generally have two years from the date of death to file a wrongful death lawsuit. Funeral costs and lost income may create financial pressure before fault is determined. Insurers may also dispute liability or offer an early settlement before the family understands the full extent of its losses.
