Chula Vista, CA (August 4, 2025) – A bicyclist was killed in a crash on Monday, August 4, with a northbound MTS trolley in Chula Vista, transit officials confirmed.
A call came in about the incident around 12:44 p.m. at the Moss Street grade crossing. Trolley service on the UC San Diego Blue Line did experience some delays because of the collision, but it has since resumed normal operations, according to the MTS.
The incident is still under investigation, however, and no further details have been reported. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased individual.
