Los Angeles, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with SUV on US 101 Near Normandie Opas

Los Angeles, CA (October 28, 2025) – A motorcyclist died on Tuesday morning, October 28, after a collision involving an SUV on U.S. Highway 101 in Central Los Angeles.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 12:30 a.m. when a white Honda Pilot struck a motorcycle on the southbound 101 near the Normandie Avenue overpass. The impact trapped the motorcycle beneath a vehicle, blocking several lanes of traffic.

Emergency crews from the Los Angeles Fire Department responded and confirmed that the rider died at the scene. The driver of the SUV remained and cooperated with investigators. The victim’s name has not yet been released.

The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the collision.
