San Diego, CA (April 23, 2025) – Emergency crews responded to a two-car collision in the Serra Mesa neighborhood of San Diego early Wednesday morning, April 23. The crash took place at approximately 12:59 a.m. in the 3300 block of Afton Road and resulted in injuries to at least one individual.
Local police and fire units arrived at the scene shortly after the incident was reported. First responders assessed the scene and provided medical care to those involved. At least one person was injured and later transported to a nearby hospital for additional treatment. No update on the injured victim’s condition has been provided at this time.
The roadway was temporarily closed as officers directed traffic away from the crash site. Tow trucks were later called to remove both vehicles, which sustained visible damage. Crews worked quickly to clear the debris and reopen Afton Road to early morning traffic. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision. So far, no citations or arrests have been reported, and the identities of those involved have not been released.
